Do AI assistants name your business? Now you can see
· The InkApex team
More buying decisions start in a chat window than a year ago. Someone types "which tool should I use to schedule posts for three brands" and reads one answer with three names in it. If yours is not one of them, that is a channel you are missing and could not see.
AI citations makes it visible. From your knowledge base the engine writes the questions a buyer in your category would ask, phrased the way people type them and never naming you or a competitor. Every two days it asks an assistant model each question as a plain assistant would be asked, keeps the answer, and records two things: whether your business was named, and which of the competitors you listed were.
The dashboard shows the share of questions that named you over the last seven days, the trend by day, the competitors that keep appearing, and each answer in full. Turn a question off when it does not fit, add your own, or regenerate the set after your knowledge base changes.
What it does not claim
The answers come from the reviewer model configured for your deployment, asked with a neutral prompt. That is a good proxy for how a general assistant answers, and a reliable trend to watch over weeks. It is not a measurement of one specific product's behaviour on one specific day, and we do not present it as one.
What to do with it
Read the questions where you are missing. They are usually the ones your articles do not cover yet, so add them to the calendar. Read the answers that name a competitor and not you, and check what the assistant said about them: often it is a page you do not have, such as a pricing explainer or a comparison. The playbooks exist for exactly that.
